Private and group lessons at the Garden of the Gods Collection are given by our Director of Tennis, Scott Leifer, USPTA Elite Professional or Assistant Professional David Cook USPTA/USPTR certified.

Weekly Adult Tennis Program

We offer weekly Adult Group Lessons where you are locked in for the session in that season; Monday-Friday. Drop In Drills are Saturday for players ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 are listed below. At the Garden of the Gods Club and Resort we are committed to exceptional service. In order to sustain this level of excellence within our tennis program our student to professional ratio is very important. In order to provide this, our adult ratio will be six to one. These classes will take place year round. Please email dcook@ggclub.com if you want to participate. All USTA Adult Teams will responsible for their own tennis ball. The pro-shop has tennis balls for sale.
 

Winter League Play

Winter League Play will run 10 consecutive weeks from January 9 - March 17, 2017 | $100 per league | Click here for the registration form.

Winter Adult Tennis Program: January 9 - March 17, 2017 | 10 week program | $200 per class

2.5/Novice Class: New to tennis? No problem! This fun, 10 week beginner program will teach you how to play, how to move, the rules of the game and proper technique.

3.0 Class: Adult players of this level are failry consistent when hitting medium paced balls, but is not entirely comfortable with all strokes and lacks control and execution. The most common doubles formation os one up, one back.

3.5 Class: Adult players of this level have improved court coverage and is developing teamwork in doubles play. This player has dependable strokes but lacks depth and variety.

4.0 Class: Adult players of this level has dependable strokes and has developed an all-around game that forces errors with the serve. Teamwork in doubles is evident.

Davis Cup Clinic: All levels welcome, this drill has a nickname “the grind”, high intensity drills, not much time for chatting, no games just drill after drill, get ready to hit a lot of balls.

  • January 7th 5:00-7:00 Adult Fun Night, start your New Year with more tennis, drills and fun interactive games. 12 player limit, $30 per person

  • January 28th 5:00-7:00, Down Under Tennis Party, COED Australian Round Robin, Try the newest Wilson Demos. Throw some shrimp on the Barbie and join us for this new event. $15 per person

  • February 5th 10:00-12:00, Super Bowl Round-Robin, Ladies what better way to spend the morning of Super Bowl Sunday. $15 per person

  • April 15th 5:00-7:00 Member/Guest Margarita Mixer, bring a ringer so you can win or maybe someone who has always wanted the join the tennis community at GOG. Spirited COED Round-Robin play. Margaritas and Snacks will be provided.

  • April 17th-21st 7:00am-9:00am Tennis Boot Camp, In anticipation of the upcoming USTA season. See your tennis coaches in a different light, foot-work, core exercises, push-ups if you don’t follow the drill, high intensity drills. You must sign up for whole Camp. $300

  • May 29th Memorial Day Mixer 8:30-10, Spirited COED Round-Robin Play, 16 player limit, $15

  • May 30th-June 2nd Junior Tennis Camp 9:00-2:00, Prepare your athletes for the upcoming JTT season or prepare your high-performance junior for tournament play. Fun based camp with, high intensity drills, foot-work, supervised match play, mini tournaments, Friday graduation plus awards. $500

  • June 2nd Free Pickle Ball Clinic 6:00pm-7:30, Come anyone and everyone learn the fastest growing sport in America, if you have never played pickle ball come join us for a little clinic and play session. We might even have some pickles.

  • June 3rd Free Junior Tennis Day 10-11:30, This is for any junior tennis member please come and enjoy a free day of tennis. (All levels welcome) Fun drills and games and Pizza and Ice Cream too…This is in appreciation of our huge junior program.

  • June 4th Free Adult Tennis Day 10-11:30, This is for any adult tennis member please come and enjoy a free day of tennis. (All levels welcome) Fun drills and game, Following tennis drill BBQ at the pool.

  • July 1st Kickoff to Wimbledon Champagne and Strawberries (white attire recommended), COED Round Robin. 16 player limit, $20

  • August 7th-10th Junior Tennis Camp (All Ages), Prepare your athletes for the upcoming high-school season or prepare your high-performance junior for tournament play.   • August 26-27, 9-closing, Club Championships, Juniors Play one day Round-Robin on Saturday. Adults play one day Round-Robin on Sunday. All levels welcome singles and doubles and maybe mixed. All levels of play welcome we might have to combine some levels depending on how many players want to participate. Award Ceremony following the day of play.

  • September 4th 8:30-10:00 Labor Day/Flashback Woods and Whites. Wear your finest white shirt and shorts and bring a wooden racket. COED Round-Robin play. 16 player limit. $15

  • October 7th Breast Cancer Awareness Event, Pro-Am, we will pair players with a pro and you will get to play some spirited doubles with a tennis professional. Rules and Regulations will be coming. We would like an audience who would like to raise money for the cause. Bet on your favorite player plus pay for points/serves and other shots. Awards and Prizes go out to best dressed in pink. Great cause. TBD and Price
