Scott Marble
Assistant General Manager
Scott Marble began his hospitality career twenty years ago at The Mirage in Las Vegas as a Guest Service Agent. A promotion to supervisor came within less than a year, then a promotion to Assistant Hotel Manager, and finally the Senior Assistant Front Office Manager where he oversaw a staff of 100 employees in a 3044 room casino hotel.
With an opportunity from Cheyenne Mountain Resort in 1999, Scott moved to Colorado Springs with his wife, Holly (Mauro), a native of Colorado Springs and former principal ballerina with Nevada Ballet Theatre. Scott served as Front Office Manager working to attain the property’s first AAA Four Diamond Award and its continuation through 2015. Promoted to Director of Revenue Management & Individual Travel in 2005 he played a key role in developing systems to re-position this conference center hotel into new markets. He was promoted to Director of Rooms in 2008 and helped the property earn its recognition as “Best Companies to Work for in Colorado” as well as oversee an $8M room renovation. Named Benchmark Resorts & Hotels Revenue Manager of the Year in 2007, he was also Colorado Hotel & Lodging’s Sales Manager of the Year in 2006, and Colorado Springs Visitor and Convention Bureau Manager of Year in 2005. Born and raised in New Hampshire, Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of New Hampshire. While studying at UNH he found he had a keen interest in the performing arts, particularly classical ballet, and studied them intensely as well. Scott does keep a toe in the world of ballet working with his wife, who is a well-known teacher in the area dance community, helping to pass on a love for the art to future generations through teaching, coaching, stage managing and performing on occasion. Besides the performing arts, Scott delights in the company of dogs, particularly Italian Greyhounds, enjoys the challenges of physical fitness and the tranquility of gardening.
